Overview

The C-Purlin is a cold roll-formed, C-shaped steel section with inward lips that improve stiffness and resistance to twisting. It is used to support roof sheeting, wall cladding, and purlin-to-rafter systems in sheds, warehouses, solar structures, and PEBs. Its lipped design provides better strength-to-weight efficiency than plain channels. Every C-Purlin is formed to your drawing, including width, depth, gauge, hole pattern, and finish.

Minimum run length depends on the gauge and hole/slot tooling required for your specification. Share your drawing and quantity and our team will confirm a minimum run size for your project.

Yes, client-supplied coil is accepted. Share the coil grade, gauge, and width and we will confirm compatibility with our roll-forming line before scheduling the run.

A standard specification using existing tooling generally runs faster than a non-standard profile requiring new tooling and first-article samples. Exact lead time is confirmed at enquiry once your specification is set.

We hold tolerances referenced against EN 10162:2003 / IS:852-1985 — see the Tolerance & Standards section above. Tighter, application-specific tolerances can be discussed on request.
